Recall Wednesday - Home Sweet Home Playhome Canopies, Primavolta Warming Gloves, Skull Necklace, Spa Factory, Construction Play Set, Stabilicer Cleat

Name of Product: Home Sweet Playhome Canopies
Hazard: A child's head could get entrapped in the canopy's window openings, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards.
Description: The recalled canopies involve the "Home Sweet Playhome" model made of 100% cotton gingham fabric draped from a bamboo hoop which is suspended from the ceiling to create a cylindrical play space measuring 36 inches wide and 9 feet tall. The canopies have an open bottom, a "door" and three multi-paned "windows." They were sold in blue and pink. "Home Sweet Playhome" canopies sold after October 2005 are not included in this recall. "The Land of Nod" is printed on a woven label on the canopy.
Sold at: The Land of Nod catalog, Web site http://www.landofnod.com/, and at The Land of Nod stores in Illinois and Washington state from September 2003 through October 2005 for about $100 for the canopy and $139 for the canopy and cushion set.

Name of Product: "Primovolta" and "Primavolta" Warming Gloves
Hazard: The glove's electric heating pad can short circuit and overheat, posing a burn hazard to consumers.
Description: The recalled winter gloves are black-colored and have a battery-powered heating element. The gloves included in the recall are style number 77000 (men's) in sizes S, M, L, XL, and style number 77010 (women's) in sizes S, M, L. The product name is printed on the inside cuff of the left glove.
Sold at: Major outdoor specialty retailers from September 2008 through January 2009 for about $260.

Name of Product: Skull-And-Crossbones Necklaces
Hazard: The skull and metal clasp of the necklace contain high levels of lead. Lead can be toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Description: This recall involves a necklace with a “skull-and-crossbones” symbol and a metal clasp. The skull has eleven pieces of rhinestones on its forehead and one rhinestone on both ends of the crossbones.
Sold at: Spirit Halloween and Spencer Gift stores nationwide from November 2006 to December 2008 for between $8 and $10.

Name of Product: Spa Factory™ Aromatherapy Fountain & Bath Benefits Kits
Hazard: Pressure from the buildup of carbon dioxide in the jars of Bath Bombs/Balls or Bath Fizzies can cause the caps on the jars to blow off, posing explosion and projectile hazards. The mixtures also can contain citric acid, which can get into the eyes during an explosion, posing a risk of eye irritation.
Description: This recall involves the purple caps on jars in the Spa Factory™ Spa Fantasy Aromatherapy Fountain and the Bath Benefits™ Kit toys. The jars are used to make Bath Bombs/Balls and Bath Fizzies. The following models are included in this recall. The item number is located on the bottom of the product’s packaging.

Name of Product: Construction Play Sets
Hazard: Surface paint on the play sets can contain lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.
Description: The recall involves the 136-piece Mega Construction Play Set (item# 911346) and includes various construction equipment, vehicles, buildings and roads. The play sets are packaged in a black and yellow box with the word “Builder” printed in the upper left hand corner of the package.
Sold at: Home centers, hardware stores and farm stores nationwide from October 2008 through December 2008 for about $20.

Name of Product: Stabilicer Lite Cleats
Hazard: The elastic harness system attaching the cleats to footwear can detach, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
Description: This recall involves Stabilicers Lite cleats with model number BNX9. The cleats are worn over footwear for traction in winter walking conditions. The recalled cleats were sold in blue, orange, and pink. Black Stabilicers Lite cleats are not included in this recall. The cleats were sold in sizes small through extra large. The name Stabilicers Lite appears in raised letters on the underside of the harness.
Sold at: L.L. Bean stores nationwide, LLBean.com and the L.L. Bean catalog from August 2008 through November 2008 for about $20.
