Name of Product: Rechargeable Batteries sold with portable DVD/CD/MP3 players Hazard: The rechargeable batteries can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Description: This recall involves batteries with serial numbers listed below sold with the TF-DVD 1020 portable DVD/CD/MP3 players. The battery's serial number can be found on a white sticker affixed to it. The product looks like a small laptop computer and has a 10" swivel TV screen. "COBY" is written on the front cover and under the screen. "TF-DVD 1020" can be found on the bottom of the unit.

Sold at: Discount, electronics, music, toy, office supply stores and distributors of electronic products nationwide. The TF-DVD 1020 units containing the recalled batteries were sold from May 2007 through July 2008 for about $168.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Chance Rides Manufacturing Inc. (CRM), of Wichita, Kansas is voluntarily recalling to inspect and repair about 85 YO-YO amusement rides across the country.CPSC has received reports of two incidents involving the YO-YO ride resulting in injuries to children and adults, including scraped knees and back strains. On May 16, 2008, 23 riders of a YO-YO ride in Angels Camp, Calif. fell to the ground when the sweep arms suspending the circular swinging chairs they were riding in broke free from the ride's center cylinder rod. The inspection program will focus on preventing future failures.CRM is offering ride owners and state safety officials inspection/repair kits and new inspection and maintenance guidelines.

Name of Product: Girls' Sandals
Hazard: The ornamental flowers on the sandals can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Description: The recalled girls' sandals are leather with attached leather flowers and were sold under the Kids Feet name. The sandals are white or white with pink soles. The sandals were sold in girls' sizes 5 through 12.
Sold at: Rack Room Shoes stores nationwide from February 2008 through June 2008 for about $25.

Name of Products: Nerf(tm) N-Strike Recon Blasters
Hazard: The blaster's plunger can pull the user's skin during firing of the toy blaster resulting in injury to the face, neck, and/or chest.
Description: This recall involves the Nerf N-Strike Recon CS-6 Blasters for children age 6 and up. The toy blaster is yellow with a black handle and orange plunger, trigger, and reload clip. The word "NERF" in black lettering is on both sides of the blaster and the word "ARMED" is indented on the orange plunger. "RECON CS-6" is on the gray cocking mechanism. There are five interchangeable parts including the shoulder stock, the flip-up sight, barrel extension, quick re-load clip and dual-mode light beam. Model number 63552 and UPC codes 653569272021 and 653569311218 can be found on the packaging. Only blasters with an exposed orange plunger are included in this recall.
Sold at: Wal-Mart, Target, Toys "R" Us, discount stores and toy stores nationwide from November 2007 through August 2008 for about $20.

Name of Product: Automatic Gas Vent Dampers
Hazard: The automatic gas vent damper could fail, and if the blocked vent switch does not activate, the vent could leak carbon monoxide (CO). This poses a risk of CO poisoning to consumers.
Description: The recall involves Effikal RVGP-PC Gas Vent Damper size 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 which are installed with the gas boiler systems listed below. The vent damper date code is located on a sticker under the motor assembly cap on the plastic base. Serial numbers are located on a label on the side of the damper's cap. All sizes and models of the RVGP-PC have the same motor assembly with black Effikal caps and black plastic bases.

Name of Product: Portable Generators
Hazard: The generator's fuel valve can be damaged by the cover plate during shipment and cause a fuel leak and fuel spillage during use, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Description: This recall includes the General Power Products 6000 Watt portable generator and the Poulan Pro 6000 Watt portable generator with serial numbers 060400483 through 060600725. The serial number is stamped on the engine block which is located on the front of the engine below the generator's control panel. "General Power Products" and "6000 Generator" are printed on the side of the General Power Products generator. "Poulan Pro" and "6000 watts" are printed on the side of the Poulan Pro generator.
Sold at: Hardware and home improvement stores primarily located in Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas from June 2008 through September 2008 for between $600 and $800.

Name of Product: GN9120 Wireless Headsets
Hazard: An internal short circuit can cause the lithium-ion polymer batteries to overheat, posing a fire hazard.
Description: This recall involves GN9120 wireless headsets with ATL lithium-ion polymer batteries. The headsets are intended primarily for professional use in offices and call centers. The product is sold with three components: a base station, headset and power adapter. "GN Netcom" or "GN9120" is printed on the base station and headset. The affected batteries have part number 603028 and have a white plastic enclosure. The batteries are labeled "Made by ATL (Amperex Technology Ltd.)" and "(ATL P/N 603028)." Batteries sold as a replacement part are labeled "GN9120 battery replacement kit."
Sold through: GN Netcom, authorized distributors and resellers nationwide from January 2005 through September 2008 for between $150 and $350 as part of the GN9120 headset and about $20 as a replacement part.

Name of Product: Alnico Bar Magnets
Hazard: Surface paints on the magnets contain excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal lead paint standard.
Description: This recall involves Alnico 3-inch long bar magnets. The magnets are painted red and blue, and were originally packaged as a pair or as a component of a science kit. The magnets were sold as item number MG-BAR3AL.
Sold at: Web retailers and by mail order between May 2008 and September 2008 for about $6.
