Name of Product: Under Armour Athletic Cups
Hazard: The cups can break if hit, posing a risk of serious injury hazard to athletes.
Description: This recall involves all athletic cups that have the Under Armour logo, including adult, teen, and youth sizes. The cups were sold individually and as part of a set with compression, slider, or jock shorts.
Sold at: Sporting good stores and Under Armour outlets nationwide and at www.underarmour.com from January 2006 through March 2009 for about $15

Name of Product: Dinosaur Play Sets
Hazard: The surface paint on the monkey figure contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.
Description: This recall involves the “Dinosaur Era 2 Hunting Dinosaur” play set. Each play set contains a dinosaur, a helicopter, trees, a hunter, a monkey and various hunting equipment.
Sold at: DND Trading in Los Angeles throughout December 2008 for about $7.

Name of Product: “Majestic 360” Floor Cleaners
Hazard: The recalled cleaners’ wiring can overheat, causing electrical arcing and melting. This poses a burn hazard to consumers.
Description: The recalled floor cleaner is a black-colored, canister-style vacuum with a powered floor tool. The words “Majestic 360” and “FILTERQUEEN” are printed on a label located on the unit.
Sold through: Independent distributors nationwide from September 2004 through August 2006 for about $1800.

Name of Product: Special and Narita Hair Dryers
Hazard: The hair dryers are not equipped with an immersion protection device to prevent electrocution if the hair dryer falls into water. Immersion protection devices, which prevent electrocution, are required by industry standards for all electric hand-held hair dryers.
Description: This recall involves Special (model EX-1800) and Narita (model TE-263) hair dryers. “Special” or “Narita” and the model number are printed on the dryer. The “Special” hair dryers are brown and the “Narita” hair dryers are white and black and fold up.
Sold at: Various retail stores in California from June 2003 through October 2008 for about $15.

Name of product: babyGap Children’s Coats
Hazard: The coats have toggle fasteners that could break and detach from the coat, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Description: This recall involves three different children’s coat styles with toggles including Rose Toggle Hoodie (style 600298), Pink Duffle Coat (style 600344), and Blue Plaid and Mojave Toggle Coat (style 600942). The coats were sold in infant sizes up to 24 months and are made of cotton, polyester, or polyester/acrylic. The toggles are light tan plastic and about 1 3/4 inches long.
Sold at: babyGap, GapKids and Gap Stores nationwide and at www.gap.com from October 2008 through April 2009 for between $20 and $50.

Name of Product: Jardine Cribs
Hazard: The wooden crib slats can break, creating a gap, which can pose an entrapment and strangulation hazard to infants and toddlers.
Description: This recall involves 7 models of Jardine wooden cribs with the date codes identified below. Cribs with other date codes are not affected by this recall. The date code and model number are printed on the label located on the inside of the bottom rail of the headboard or footboard. Model numbers listed on CPSC website.

Name of Product: Pumpkin Patch Hooded Girls’ Raincoats
Hazard: The raincoats have a drawstring through the hood which poses a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines (pdf) to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist by drawstrings in upper garments, such as jackets and sweatshirts.
Description: This recall involves the Pumpkin Patch hooded raincoat with drawstrings in girls sizes 2 through 10. The raincoat is a trench coat style and is red with pink polka-dots.
Sold at: Pumpkin Patch stores nationwide and on-line at www.pumpkinpatchusa.com from July 2008 through February 2009 for about $50.

Name of Product: Erwin Beanie and Poseidon Beanie Children’s Knitted Hats
Hazard: The eyeballs on the Erwin Beanie and the octopus legs on the Poseidon Beanie can come loose, posing a potential choking hazard.
Description: The Erwin Beanie is primarily green and white yarn knitted to configure a frog with white eyeballs and a red smile. The Poseidon Beanie comes in several colors of yarn and has hand sewn turtles, whales and octopus attached to the beanie. The beanies have the firm’s logos “Ambler” or “A” printed on a fabric tag.
Sold at: Specialty sports and ski shops nationwide from September 2008 through November 2008 for about $30.

Name of Product: Wagner Paint Sprayers
Hazard: The on-off switch can be dislodged from the casing, resulting in exposure of electrical connections. This can pose an electrical shock hazard to the consumer.
Description: This recall includes the Wagner Control Spray Plus Model 0414248. This model number can be found on a white label located on the side of the motor housing. The following date codes are affected by this recall and can be found stamped on the bottom of the motor housing near the air hose connection: Model numbers listed on CPSC website.

Sold by: Major chain home centers and hardware stores nationwide from August 2007 through April 2009 for about $99.

Name of product: Abalone and Venetian Carnevale Necklace Craft Kits
Hazard:The lobster clasps in both craft kits contain high levels of lead. The Abalone Necklace’s pendant also contains high levels of lead. Lead can be toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Description: The recall includes the children’s jewelry craft kits “Abalone Necklace” (item #67117) and “Venetian Carnevale Necklace” (item #67118). Both kits contain components to assemble necklaces including charms, beads, wire and clasps. The kit’s name, model number, and “Curiosity Kits” are printed on the product’s packaging.
Sold at: Various retailers in the U.S. and Canada from June 2007 through April 2009 for about $6.

Name of Product: Torcofix/Torcoflex and Mountz Torque Wrenches
Hazard: The internal spring mechanism on the wrench can fail or break, allowing bolts or screws to break or become unscrewed, posing a risk of injury to the user or bystander.
Description: The wrenches were sold under three styles names: Richard Abraham Herder KG “Gedore/Rahsol” label, the Mountz “Titan” label, and the Mountz “Erico” label. Only wrenches with the serial numbers within the following ranges are included in the recall: Model numbers on CPSC website.

The serial number is printed on the side of every torque wrench and the model number is printed on the label on the front and the back of the steel tube.
Sold by: Mountz Inc. through wholesale catalog sales and wholesale through industrial distributors, private label (Erico) and direct to OEM’s mostly in North America from July 2006 through April 2008 for between about $150 and $300.

Name of Product: Children’s Hooded Jackets
Hazard: The jackets have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines (pdf) to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist drawstrings in upper garments, such as jackets or sweatshirts.
Description: The recalled children’s jacket has a drawstring through the hood. They were sold in boy sizes 4, 5, 6 and 7 in colors black/grey. The RN number 30842 printed in the center back neck and style number 1708 is printed on the hangtag on the center back neck.
Sold by: Burlington Coat Factory from September 2006 through April 2009 for about $17.

Name of Product: 2008 model year Dahon and REI Novara Folding Bicycles
Hazard: The hinge on the handlepost can crack, posing a fall hazard.
Description: This recall involves model year 2008 Dahon and REI Novara folding bicycles. The models included in the recall are as follows: Model numbers included on CPSC website.

The words “Dahon” or “Novara” and the model name are printed on the bicycle. Hinges with an “R” embossed on the face of the upper handlepost hinge and/or a “Radius Handlepost” sticker on the handlepost are not included in the recall.
Sold by: Authorized Dahon California dealers and REI stores nationwide from March 2008 through April 2009 for between $430 and $1,300.

Name of Product: DayNa Decker 16 ounce Botanika Candles
Hazard: The glass can break during use, posing a fire hazard.
Description: The recalled candles were sold under the DayNa Decker “Botanika” brand in 16 ounce green glass vessels, 4 inches wide by 5 inches high. Botanika candles in the smaller 3 ounce and 6 ounce sizes are not included in the recall. The words “DayNa Decker” and “Bacara,” “Bardou,” “Clementine,” “Indigo,” “Leila,” “Manzanita,” “Sierra,” “Violetta,” “Yasmin” or “Zelia” appear on the bottom of the glass vessel.
Sold by: Resorts, spas, gift shops and specialty stores nationwide from March 2008 through April 2009 for about $76.
